Alexandra L. Simocko
Born in the Bay Area and raised in Orange County, Alex is a California native dedicated to helping people navigate some of life’s toughest challenges. As the child of divorce and a divorced woman herself, Alex brings compassion and understanding to all of her cases.
After a successful enlistment in the United States Navy working on nuclear propulsion plants, Alex graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She then attended the University of New Mexico School of Law where she graduated cum laude and was the recipient of the Atkinson and Kelsey Award for Excellence in Family Law and the CALI Award in Children’s Law.
During law school, Alex was a fellow with the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Law Program where she taught constitutional law and personal advocacy. She coached the New Mexico Marshall Brennan High School Moot Court team to an appearance at nationals in 2016. She also defended juveniles as a part of the Juvenile Justice Project.
Alex graduated early from UNM School of Law and immediately relocated to San Jose where she was a post-bar clerk at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. Alex has practiced exclusively family law since 2017, and has handled a variety of family law cases in Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Alameda, and Santa Clara Counties. In 2019, Alex was named to Rising Stars by Super Lawyers.
When she is not in court, Alex enjoys giving back to the community as a member of the board of a local children’s non-profit, working with horses, and brewing beer with her husband.
